Preparation of an Application

Throughout March 2014, the Steering Group met regularly, and with the advice of the Neighbourhood Planning Manager, agreed the boundaries of a Neighbourhood Area and the constitution of a Neighbourhood Forum.  On 1 April, the Group submitted an Application for Designation of the Area and Forum to the Council.

Inception of the Plan

On 20 February 2014, the Ash Road Area Residents Association (ARARA) convened a meeting of local community associations in central Headingley.  The meeting resolved to support the development of a Neighbourhood Plan for Headingley, and appointed a Steering Group of representatives of the associations to carry this forward.
